With centres nationally and using a state of art interactive online study portal designed by the Awarding Body. All our Trainers have qualified teacher status and teach within the further education setting. Sport, exercise and fitness have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I play and coach American football and coach basketball. Fitness is a vital aspect of both of these sports and I enjoy my own personal fitness as well as challenging those around me. I teach BTEC sport across level 3 to level 5 at a college and have done so for the last 7 years. I really enjoy tutoring and assessing courses and helping others take their first steps into the fitness industry.
I have enjoyed taking part in fitness ever since I can remember. Competing at many triathlons from a young age, I’m a Fitness Instructor/Personal and teach many classes and have been working in the fitness industry for many years, this is my passion and my life.
I spend a lot of my free time taking part in my own physical training, going to fitness events and conventions – walking, running and climbing up mountains.
I have worked with, learnt from and have met some very inspiring people over the past few years. My main aim in life is to help as many people as I possibly can, to achieve their goals and aims in life, be it a fitness target or to learn something new, teaching them a qualification or a new subject, answering a question or giving advice.
I have been working in the Health & Fitness Industry for 8 years. I have managed a team of instructors at LA Fitness and David Lloyd, as well as teaching a variety of group exercise classes. My main expertise and passion is in group exercise and I love teaching classes such as Zumba, Spinning, Aerobics and Les Mills. I am also qualified in Sports Massage and enjoy rehabilitating injured clients.
My favourite thing about this industry is meeting new people and working with a wide variety of goals and needs. I love being able to help people achieve their targets and enjoy fitness. I’m a strong believer in making fitness fun and enjoyable. It’s so infectious and I couldn’t see myself working in any other industry.
I have worked in the Fitness industry for over 15 years with a wide range of clients on both an individual and group basis.
My main areas of expertise are strength and conditioning, mass building and nutrition, although I have experience and qualifications in other areas too.
I have previously worked with many high profile clients as a Close Protection Operative (or bodyguard as most people know it) and was a nightclub doorman for over 10 years.
I have been fortunate enough to be personally trained by a Kung Fu Grandmaster to a high level and am currently being coached by a multiple amateur bodybuilding champion in order to enter competition bodybuilding in the next 2 years.
My current role is as a lecturer/personal tutor/trainer and assessor.
Without doubt one of the oldest members of staff! With almost 30 years’ experience in the physical training environment, most of which comes from previous service in the Army.
I enjoy most sports and I would consider myself to be a successful endurance athlete having taken part in a number of long distance cycling, running and adventurous events over the years.
I currently conduct various group physical training sessions which I always attempt to make as challenging and enjoyable as possible. I am always looking for new ideas and to further my personal knowledge so those taking part get the most out of them.
I have worked within the fitness industry for the last 8 years as a fitness instructor, personal trainer and studio instructor, I run a successful PT business as well as setting up my own community classes. I now specialise in teaching studio based classes and teach a large variety on a daily basis.
Fitness is a huge part of my life and I strive to help others improve their fitness and achieve their personal goals. I have participated in many charity fitness events and helped raise money for lots of worthy causes.
Alongside my fitness career I also teach BTEC sport and personal training at a local college. I love being part of the fitness industry and I would like to think i show this in my role as a tutor and assessor. I am a happy and enthusiastic trainer and loves helping others enter the fitness industry.
I have been in the fitness industry for 20 years (whoah!) which began when I did work experience at a small gym and ended up gaining a part time job there. I then progressed onto doing my Gym Instructor course with Central YMCA Qualifications in 1998 which I took to University with me and worked in the Uni Gym.
I am the IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) for GIO and I’ve undertaken a variety of roles including Gym Instructor, Group Fitness Co-ordinator, teaching many classes (including Exercise to Music, Body Pump, Groove FX and Body Synergy), as well as being an Assessor and Lecturer over those years.
I am currently completing a personal challenge of ‘Handstand 365’ where I have committed to doing a handstand a day for a year which is proving popular for the different locations I have chosen! I regularly attend Fitness Fiesta’s to stay up to date with new trends and whilst travelling around Australia for a year, I worked in a Gym in Cairns for three months. I enjoy running and try to take part in Park Run on a Saturday morning, along with doing classes when I find the time.
I come from a professional dance & singing back ground, with 19 year’s experience in the fitness industry in the UK & Australia. In 2005 I won the YMCA/ACTION UK New Presenter of the year, since then I have been making my name on the presenting circuit teaching at the some of the biggest fitness conventions both here in the UK and abroad.
I currently work part time as a tutor, lecturer and assessor as well as a master trainer and business development manager for Choreography To Go. I also run my own community fitness business and own Kick Start Fat Loss Cambridge.
I also create the choreography for Groove FX which is a pre- choreographed dance programme through Fitness FX.

My name is Sarah Jane Snow, I’m a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer with many industry qualifications, I have been within the fitness industry for 6 years and have also taught and assessed learners becoming instructors like me during this time.
I’m out going and always enjoy a challenge, I like to see people achieve their goals and helping them to do so gives me great satisfaction.
I have done many courageous things during these 6 years for example; completed Tough Mudder twice, done static line parachute jump alone, travelled to Tanzania to help the less fortunate and presented as a fitness instructor at international UK Fitness Fiesta’s.
