This Unit covers the Level 3 Programming and Delivering Personal Training with Clients knowledge and skills needed by a Personal Trainer to design, manage and adapt a personal training programme with apparently healthy adults, to enable them to create personal training programmes for individuals and small groups (a group PT session involves individualised pre-written programmes for each participant which are planned in such a way that they can be delivered at the same time). This is the final Unit that needs to be completed as part of the YMCA Certificate in Personal Training qualification. Once all the units have been completed your full certification will be issued.

Study

The Course has been designed using the Awarding Body’s Online Learning Portal to support you in your studies anywhere and at any time. So you can be confident that you are using the best media rich and interactive Online Learning delivery system. You will have 215 days (7 months) to complete the course from when you receive your login details – these can take up to 5 working days to come through. One of the Training Team will be in touch with you once you have enrolled and introduce you to your course Tutor who will be there to support you through your studies. 

You will be supported by one of our Online Tutors via email and over the phone. You will also be required to attend face to face practical training days at one of our training and assessment centres nationally where you will work with our Training Team to cover all the practical hands on skills needed to give you the edge in the Industry and support you to successfully pass your assessment. Element 1; knowledge questions

Externally set knowledge questions listed in your Learning and Assessment Record (LAR) need to be completed fully. Guidance for completion is contained in your LAR and from your Tutor.

To plan, prepare and complete a 12 week personal training programme for an apparently healthy individual 16+. All paper work examples are listed in your Learning and Assessment Record (LAR) and include;

Element 3; Summative practical observation of delivering a personal training session in the gym with an apparently healthy client. Assessment specification and paperwork are listed in your Learning and Assessment Record (LAR) and need to be completed fully. Guidance for completion is contained in your LAR and from your Tutor.
